Summer home make over!

Every year amidst the business of ordinary life, camping, family get togethers, friends and travels we try to knock out a few house projects and usually one big one while the weather permits. The first year I lived out here we tackled the pond. Last year we did windows and this year... somehow we have managed to do the animal pens, organize and build storage for the shop, a few odds and ends inside, and now we are going to re-roof! I think we have bitten off a lot this year :0) Here is some of the progress happening out here in the sticks!

A new light fixture in the dining room and one in the bathroom
We stripped the roof from our little porch offshoot so that we could tilt it up a little bit.. it was so low that we had to duck when we went out there!
Once we finish the roof we will be making pillars to hold the porch roof up. The bottom half of each pillar will be a rock of some kind and the top will be wood. We are also going to make stamped concrete walkways all around the house and where to two concrete pads already exist. That might have to wait until next year though :0)
